Introduction to Hand Embroidery – Level 1

Join me to explore the soothing world of hand embroidery. We will study the fabrics, threads, tools, and a number of basic stitches to help you enhance your current sewing projects. From baby bibs and quilts to textile art projects, embroidery can add depth, texture, and intrigue to the final product.
Beginner (or a refresher for those who haven’t done embroidery since childhood)
Dates: April 12 and May 3
Time: 9:30 – 3:00 (1/2 hour break for lunch)
Cost: $40.00 plus materials
Sample only of stitches
Class Requirements unless otherwise instructed.
You need to bring:
Sewing machine, ¼” foot, rotary cutter, mat, rulers, scissors, seam ripper, pins, thread, filled bobbin, Best Press, open toed foot, hand needle, (walking foot if required), and sharp pencil.
Fabric may need to be precut. Check with teacher.
